What initially drew you to your specific form of creative expression?: Album covers, gig posters, the Helvetica documentary

What advice would you give to aspiring creatives who are just starting out in your field?: Trust your gut, make more versions than you think, look around and get inspired.

What are your goals for this year? : Solidify more freelance work and keep learning.

What's unique about what you provide and why do you want others to work with you?: I have a great sense of balance and hierarchy. Great design presents a message clearly and succinctly. The path to readability and recognizability is a process I understand well, and something I love to solve diplomatically.

What tips can you offer someone who's similar to you?: Keep a stricter schedule.

What is an important lesson you've learned in your creative career?: Don't be afraid to charge what you're worth. More time in the field equals more experience, and nothing can substitute that.

How do you handle creative blocks and what do you do to overcome them?: Look for inspiration in the world. Go for a walk. Appreciate something small that is unnoticed.

How do you stay current and relevant in your field?: Constantly looking, learning and loving.

What sets you apart from other creatives in your field?: I provide a kindness and approachability that others don't have.

Do you have any techniques or rituals you use to help spark creativity?: Looking at new music releases to be inspired by album covers and tour posters, going on long walks and appreciating signage. Sm*king w**d.

How do you stay motivated and productive when facing a creative challenge?: Lots of coffee, good tunes, and allowing myself to think about other things if I'm too bogged down in the moment. Reading always helps.

How do you feel about AI in the creative world? Likes, Dislikes?: I think Ai can be a massively helpful tool in a toolbox. I think of it as the dawn of a new era, much like when PhotoShop first arrived on the scene. I don't think you can be a crappy designer and use Ai to make good design. Good design takes heart and soul, no matter what. Good design cares about you.

What are the most important skills or qualities that you think a creative entrepreneur should have?: Empathy, patience, and the ability to meet a client where they are emotionally.

Can you share any tips or advice for managing the balance between creativity and business as a creative entrepreneur?: Make art for yourself that you don't show anyone else.

What are some of the most effective marketing and promotion strategies that you have used to grow your business?: Reputation goes a long way. Word of mouth has gotten me the most work out of anything.

How do you prioritize and manage your time as a creative entrepreneur, and what tools or techniques have you found to be most helpful?: Calendar keeping, staying on top of project management via tools like monday.com, carving out specific time for specific projects.

Can you discuss some of the most important lessons you have learned in your journey as a creative entrepreneur?: Know your worth. Time in this business is not something that can be substituted for anything else. Every day presents a new lesson and new knowledge.

Can you recommend any other resources, tools, or communities that you have found helpful in your journey as a creative entrepreneur?: Drink lots of water and go on a walk somewhere where you've never been before, and talk to a stranger. You never know what you'll find out.
